Meet our founding partner

HIF is a St John Giving Founding Partner and has helped deliver equitable access to healthcare services through expanding Community Transport Services (CTS) in Bunbury and Northam. HIF’s partnership with St John Giving began two years ago with the launch of the Bunbury CTS in mid-2021. The service is now offered across Perth, Goldfields, Great Southern, Wheatbelt and the South West. The service enriches the lives of residents by providing access to safe, reliable and affordable transportation to vital healthcare services.

Northam Community Transport launch - May 2023

By launching a dedicated service in Northam, with locally recruited volunteers, the lives of the elderly or residents living with a disability in and around Northam will be greatly improved by the safe, reliable, and affordable transport provided.

The fully equipped Kia Carnival has automated external defibrillators and first aid kits, with St John volunteers trained to safely drive Northam residents to vital healthcare services.

11,175 Community Transport Trips taken over FY21-22

Mitsui E&P Australia

Through our corporate partnership with Mitsui E&P Australia and their joint-venture partner Beach Energy, the latest 5G compatible smartphones and Wi-Fi connectors have been rolled out to Mid West ambulances in WA.

The $117,000 initiative will roll out the new technology to 18 ambulances in Geraldton and surrounding Mid West subcentres in preparation for Australia’s 5G network to expand regionally.

St John WA responds to about 50,000 emergency ambulance calls a year in country areas and relies on stable telecommunication network activity across cellular, satellite and radio channels when called to some of the most remote parts of the state in an emergency.
